FaceTite Basics

FaceTite, also known as radiofrequency-assisted lipolysis, is a minimally-invasive procedure using radiofrequency energy to contour the face and neck. With minimal scarring, FaceTite melts fat, tightens the skin, and promotes higher levels of natural collagen production. The heating control gives Dr. Stiller added consistency to ensure areas aren’t over or undertreated. FaceTite can be performed with liposuction or by itself. Commonly treated areas are under the chin and neck. This procedure can be a great option for patients with stubborn jawline fat and sagging neck skin.

FaceTite Benefits

Is FaceTite Right for Me?

FaceTite is a great choice for patients who have a small to moderate amount of fat and skin laxity under the chin and neck. If you are looking for a procedure that does not require a long incision or down time, then FaceTite may be right for you. For patients that have gone through a significant amount of weight loss or have a larger quantity of sagging skin, a facelift (link) may be a better option to obtain the desired result. FaceTite can be performed in conjunction with other procedures such as liposuction or performed on its own. During your consultation, Dr. Stiller will explain in great detail the best surgical option to help you achieve your desired results.

FaceTite Procedure

Dr. Stiller starts the BodyTite procedure by making small incisions, around 1/4 inch in length, in the areas being treated. Dr. Stiller attempts to place the incisions in areas that are not noticeable, such as under the chin and behind the ear lobes. If liposuction is to be done, this will be performed first by the use of a cannula to remove any excess subcutaneous fat.

FaceTite is conducted through a hand-piece that allows for a dual approach: The thermal energy penetrates through an external electrode while an internal probe melts fat tissue and tightens the skin. Dr. Stiller will guide the hand-piece across treatment areas to precisely melt fatty tissue and tighten rigid bands connecting underlying fascia to the surface skin while also simultaneously tightening skin. The heating control gives Dr. Stiller added consistency to ensure areas aren’t over- or under-treated.

FaceTite Recovery

FaceTite is an outpatient procedure, so after a short period of recovery time, you will go home the same day. When you wake up from surgery, you will be placed in a head compression garment which we encourage you to wear for 2 weeks all the time and the next 2 weeks during times of activity. The recovery for FaceTite can vary depending on the patient however, most patients take about 1 week off of work. It is normal to experience some swelling and bruising after surgery up to about 1 month.

You will be provided with detailed post-operative instructions upon completion of your procedure. If at any time you should have any questions or concerns after surgery, please contact our practice immediately.

FaceTite Results

The results of FaceTite most commonly are noticed within the first few weeks as swelling subsides. However, skin tightening and body contouring improve gradually due to collagen production and cellular metabolism. Results may become more noticeable with time and can take up to 6 months, and continuing up to 12 months, to see final results.
